Dr. Ursula Versteegen is a founding member of the Presencing Institute, she is an independent action researcher and consultant and works with Dr. C.Otto Scharmer in corporate and non-profit applications of the U-process. She has also served as a former member of the Board of Directors of a SmithKline Beecham start-up in Munich, and in various positions at Glaxo Germany and Ciba Headquarters, Switzerland. Since 1999, Ursula Versteegen has worked as a coach and process consultant with innovators in health care, consumer industries, education and non-for-profit organizations to initiate and lead large system innovation based on dialogue and leadership tools and practices from theory U. Her research has focused on dialogue, more recently on the impact of self and collective efficacy on health and disease at the workplace, effects of coaching on self-perception and initiative in personal and collective transformation processes. She is particularly interested in understanding better how members of large organizational systems and networks can shift from a reactive mode into a co-creative mode. Ursula Versteegen holds a Ph.D. in Psychology from University of Freiburg in Germany and a Masters of Public Health from Harvard School of Public Health.
